With Brazil reducing tax burdens and streamlining regulations, the country is positioning itself as a prime destination for data center investments.
Other Latin American countries are implementing strategies to attract data center investments. Fewer taxes, plenty of renewable energy, and vast land.

Mexico, for instance, has become a focal point for the interconnection of the digital economies of North and Latin America, with direct investment projections exceeding US$7 billion. The installed capacity is expected to expand from 81 MW to over 1000 MW of Colocation and Hyperscale (Cloud Service Providers) in the next five years.
How do we manage this growth?
I’m an architect and I believe that we must rethink how we design these facilities—not just in terms of efficiency and sustainability but also in response to the evolving landscape, and the evolving human needs.
DESIGN, please, we must design it appropriately. And I mean ALL design disciplines. Not only engineering.
We must talk about urban, landscape, and interior design (there are few, but still, people working inside a DC), and architecture!
It should and must be thought of as a living organism inside the urban network.
Data Centers have so much potential to do even more for our cities and us.
